    FCP: 6.0.2
    OSX: 10.4.11
Powermac: 2×3 Ghz Dual Core, 4 GB RAM

I have had the same problem with remote control. To solve the problem I used a Keyspan USB to serial converter and ran the remote through that instead. Works OK!

Use a Keyspan USB to serial adapter and an old Avid serial to 9-pin remote cabel. Attach that to your router and change the port in the device control.

Worked just fine with our router.

Thanks for the tip. That seems to work after a very long render. I was hoping there would be an easier way but this will have to work for now. Thanks

I’ll try tossing the prefrences. But I think maybe you have seen my future, reinstalling the app…………

Thanks for taking the time to test the problem. Now I at least know that it is not a software bug.

    Thanks

You will have trouble now! It simple does not work. At least not if you have OSX 10.4 installed. MS Exploiter, sorry explorer, will do it for you. I really hate to admit do that.

  • Capture your DV footage to your internal harddrive. I know it sound stupid but I had major problems trying to capture and playback DV from my SCSI Raid. Used the internal drive instead and it just flies. Good luck!

I’m using the firmtek enclosure + card with 2 seagate 200 GB drives (for SD video). BMD card in the #4 PCI slot of a 2Ghz G5 and the firmtek card in slot #3, SCSI card in slot #2: = No Problems at all! The SCSI card is not going at full speed though, but the SATA card is?

    Good luck with your shopping

  • Well that sounds good! If you live in the US maybe. In Europe it is still June 6 that is the shipping date if you ordered the software the first day it was avalible at Apple Store.

But hey, if they send it out sooner, it’s all good.
