Have you tried just dropping the Motion project into a sequence in FCP that has the frame rate, etc. that you want?

In Motion 4, it’s under the Render pop-up menu; in Motion 3, under the View pop-up menu. Either version, keyboard shortcut is the same: option-M toggles it on and off. To change the number of samples and the shutter angle, choose Edit > Project Properties and go to the second tab. Motion blur is universal in Motion (applies to all layers and groups) and can really, really increase render times.

Make sure the paint stroke image layer is turned off. And you’ll probably have to invert the mask so it paints on instead of off.

You use the paint stroke as an image mask to reveal the font.

Read up on how to use the Replicator, it’s the tool you want to use. Basically:
1) Draw a path with the bezier shape tool
2) Replicate your image
3) Set the Replicator Shape to Geometry
4) Drag your path to the well
5) Use a Sequence Replicator behavior to animate the replicated images along the path. Here’s a tutorial:

December 23, 2009 at 3:11 am in reply to: PSD pixelation when brought into FCP as a motn clipYou need to understand how the Canvas works in FCP – it is not showing you final quality. This may help:

Text behaviors won’t work on groups. We need to know what the behavior is.

I think it’s a great compositing tool but only when you use it with Conduit, which provides a nodal compositor right inside of Motion – this way you have a real-time nodal compositing application:

Are you using optical flow in your time remap? That would certainly slow things down. If not, consider doing your time remapping in FCP, then just add the graphics in Motion.
