    Make sure your project settings (command-J) match your video material – it’s easy to accidentally put DV material in an SD timeline. Also, to double-check, view on an NTSC monitor – it can be normal to see interlacing on the computer that won’t show on the monitor (FCP only shows one field in the Canvas by default).

    In your preferences, on the Project section, under Playback Control, make sure you are set to “Skip video frames”

  • Just like FCP – tap the M key while listening to set markers in the timeline, then set your keyframes for the parameters you want to animate at those markers.
