February 12, 2006 at 6:13 am in reply to: L.A Videographer needed, must respond within 1 hourhope you found somebody to help you. but it seems as Matte said very low.
factor in $10 gas, and 4 x $4 tapes. your down to $125. I could not afford to use my stuff and all the expense. You also have to think about the quality. Im sure you might get offers, but bad video, might never be able to be fixed. Paying 2-3 x more might get the hungry pro. that will actually produce footage that can be used. personally nothing is more frustrating than trying to edit junk. editing junk cost more $$$ because it eats to much time.hope you get this done with the results you desire

serious magic dv rack
trail/149moogear is simple and works great. rack works great with many mmore options
firewire straight from cam to pc firewire port and your done. hit record and watch it happen. I use a pd150, so I put a tape in so that the no tape in cam message disappears. then rewind the tape and shoot again over since the movie is now on the hard drive

Steve,
Can you build this effect so that it can live next to your dip to black effect and then have it just drag to clip(s) just like the dip to black effect ? thank you for your time

December 20, 2005 at 4:09 am in reply to: iRiver purchase advice?????? user’s advice appreciatedI use the iriver 899 512mb, it works fine, have not done any hard testing. I use the sennheiser me4 mic, probally over kill, but I had it. seems to work well. abit pricey. everybody seems to recomend the giant squid

Nice product, big $$$$. for 400, you might wait till PP 2.0 is out, soon ???? it might be included > bottom line, if you have 2-4 cams and use PP, it works very nicely. avid 5.x has it included, and the student ed. is 500. if your editing more than 3, 2+ cam shoots in a month and can not wait, but you should be making some $$$ if your doing that many, buy it, it will save a lot of time. my last suggestion is get a pocket camera, and use the flash function to sync the clips. most parties will have lots of flash pics. so one more will not be a problem. point 1 cam at the other and flash, and then run, flash again for the next sequence

I had a similiar problem, it was the onboard audio , bought a addon card and disabled the onboard, problem solved. just a suggestion, if nothing else works. good luck, this is a pain of a problem
