the post above is correct, sennheiser is great. I own this product version ew100. about 2+ years old, and it works great. you can get this product the ew112 on ebay for 50-100 less. You buy this stuff once, so spend the $$$ and get it good and get it to last. azden 2000upr looks nice.

SPEND the money, if you dont have enough, save, not buy junk, use ebay, goood shopping

After almost 2 years, I have asked here a dozen times, with no results, or what works.

There is no built in option in PP to have it pushed up to a monitor, the only option you have is firewire out, to converter, to s-video/RCA. Pick your flavor of how to do it.

    cheapest, use your camcorder
    $$$ canopus 100 or similiar
$$$$ high end matrox or similiar

after 30 hours wasted trying to get this to work correctly, my little sony camcorder fires it up everytime. just my home model, and the better cameras are used for the jobs.

If you find a solid solution, please post it loudly

September 21, 2005 at 4:26 am in reply to: Premiere to External monitor?

I agree with the post above, firewire out of pc to converter, IE camcorder to rca/s-video out to TV in, change the settings in the preview window to playback video on pc & DV hardware. I use canopus 100, but after a dozen posts here. this is the only solution I could fine.

If there is another solution, please somebody let us all know.
Is there a specific graphics card ?

Maybe PP ver 2.0 will have a few more of these enhancements

    thanks all

canopus should also work, pick up a canopus 100 for $150 and Matts
directions will accomplish the results, and you can sell the box later, or use it to encode analog to digital

Assuming you can get admin rights to the machine, simply, xp, right click my computer, properties, harware, device manager, disable usb port(s) then lock out the users, control panel, users, limited accounts. this might work. if your going cracking the case, then unplug the port from the mobo

August 18, 2005 at 5:06 am in reply to: Capture directly to DVD

try to see if the sony vrd-vc20 will work, priced @ 250.00, with the abality to capture analog/dv & dual layer, this might be a solution, just a few $$$ more than a standard external dvd drive. I do not know/confirm that you can record uncompressed raw footage, but it does, if I understand correctly create mpeg video.

July 12, 2005 at 5:45 am in reply to: bulk mini dv tapes…..

I record to both Hard drive and tape, benefits for me, I might shoot 2 events in one weekend, so I off the footage to the pc that night, next morning in 20mins and shoot the next again, now when it is time to edit, I just saved 2hours on capture, and the tape is archived and can be used as back up. I relate it his way, you charge 100.00 per hour, so why do you give away and hour-2 on the importing. for 5.00 the tape is cheap, but my time worth more

  • Thank you for the feedback. When I say push up. I really mean, sorry for my lame way of stating this earlier. To send my video preview, the box on the right upper corner, up to the tv to view it in full screen as I edit. Im really hesitant to format and install, it just takes so long.

any additional help or other replies would me great. Thank you for your time.
