Most if not all the windows are dockable in Vegas Pro. Just drag the media generator window to an existing area and it will snap into place as a tab. They show it in this intro: https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro12introwebinar
Even if you don’t have version 12 it works about the same.

I would say stick with Vegas. I’m still upset with Adobe and how I cannot read ebooks that were protected with their old DRM solution. I definitely would not trust them with my content and having them tell me I am not allowed to view my content again.

Thanks for the response. I’ll go with the USB model for now and follow your other advice you given people where I will set the onboard audio as the default and try to keep the PreSonus available just to the Sony apps.

Did you try with the GPU turned off? I was able to render using the GPU for a previous project and on my last one, it kept failing with an estimated render time of about 1hr and 20min. I switched off the GPU and it rendered the file just fine in about 45min. I run a GPU utilization systray icon and that tells me when the GPU is being utilized and I have seen times when Vegas starts to use it, but then it drops to zero. Some of the plugins use GPU independent of VEGAS, so I believe a lot of the GPU related issues are attributed to contention between multiple things trying to use it at the same time and not leaving them in a nice initialized state.

Why did you not use DVD Architect that comes with Sony Vegas? Look for a setting in DVD maker to set the aspect ratio to the same one you rendered the video with. I have never used Windows DVD maker.

[Ken Mitchell] “Try this it worked for me… Uninstall new blue tilter pro 1 and or 2.
Turn off the computer and restart. Now before you do anything reinstall
newblue tiler 1 and 2. This seems to fix the crashes for me.. It appears that if you start vegas and shut it down there is still some part of vegas active and will give you a bad install of newblue titler.”I tried what Ken mentioned above and it made a huge difference. I have now used NewBlue Titler Pro with SVP 12 on my last few projects without a single crash from NewBlue. In the past it would be hit or miss dragging the media generator to the timeline. So if you had problems in the past, this may help you resolve them.

BCC8.1 and Vegas 12 worked for me when I tried it. I was able to add the extruded text and change a few settings. I even went back to the timeline and changed a few more settings.
