I installed and have been using VP-12 and love it. I did as many suggested by installing VP-12 and then uninstalling VP-11. It opens as VP-12 and seems to function as VP-12 but I just noticed that all of my veg files are indentified as VP-11. Is this normal? If not, any suggestions?

    Thanks

Maybe try and run a repair on 12. Add/remove programs, select Vegas 12, and repair/reinstall. Veg files should identify as 12 as far as I know.

When you save a project, does it still has the Vegas 11 icon?

I can’t open any project in Vegas12 that hasn’t been created in Vegas12 unless I go to windows explorer and right click on the Vegas12 icon and do a “open as vegas12” icon. If I try to open within Vegas12 it will crash even though the 12 icon is there.

12 seems very stable so maybe I’ll just uninstall my Vegas10. 11 never did work for me.

Well, you can try that and see Roger. Still i never see
a reason to have more than one version of Vegas on your
system (except 11) if what you have is the latest version.

The veg file has no logo. It is just a white icon. All these files were created in VP-12. Everything seems to work well but the veg files all say vp-11

OK. right click on one of them and select Open with
then when the dialogue box opens up, choose/select Vegas Pro 12,
then at the bottom tick Always use the selected program to open
    this kind of file
, And click ok…..That should resolve it.

You can check the registry to see if the .veg file is associated with pro 12.
