okay the “follow position” on the dynamic tag’s force tab seems to be doing the job to some extent, but not 100%….after like 200 frames things start to get wonky again. but seems this is one way to go about it.

i was looking for checking the splits together in the “multi-pass” layers section vis-a-vis the beauty within the picture viewer.
now when i look at the multi-pass it shows my object on a black BG – it would be great to have the BG as well to compare it with the RGB – (especially the edges).

Hi Jan,

i got stuck into something similar, and your script is almost helpful…it would do me a ton of help if you could tell me if there is a way to make this expression to animate the x position of a layer/null by a given pixel value during the duration(in and out) of the layer

i tried aescripts but unfortunately no luck yet! or maybe i didnt look well enough.

i am already using the method you mentioned. however since the source videos are of all different size, i have to manually scale most of them to match the original solid’s size (which is basically a grid of solids). but i guess i will have to live with that.

one catch,

the object i am using this delay/spring is also used as a cloner object to assign those cylinders and spheres.

so when the fracture+delay effector work. it works on top of the animation. but i cant seem to get the position of my cloned objects adhere to the deformed parent object’s vertices and edges.

any workarounds?

that mograph way is awesome..not only i got a solution for this but also it gave me tremendous insight of what are the possiblities.
i think i am loving c4d more every minute.
