    hi chris!

you are dead right on what i wanted! thanks a ton. 🙂
one more question! in AE 3d space any object is seen on the both sides (like a 2 sided material in 3d apps) is there a way to make it visible only on one side (like a object is visible only the side it has normals facing in a 3d app.).

  • hi thanks,

my earlier composition was not working using textured polygons however when i started from scratch it seemd to work just fine!
but many thanks for your tip.

  • i agree that those two settings are different from the help settings. but i tried same settings as well…however they didn’t work as well..its just that i took the screenshot they had diff settings.
and yes the help i referred is for the same version i am using.

PS: in the help settings even though the “shadowlet for main” is “off” the “shadowlet settings” are not grayed out!

    dear randy and everyone,

i guess i found it. i think you were talking about the quad options in EXTRUDE NURBS>CAPS>TYPE options. however it doesn’t solve the issue i was having in the firstplace. the straight letters are still too stiff.

any suggestions would be very welcome.

    regards

    Dear Randy,

thanks for answering to my post. i thought similar…but was not able to figure out how to convert to ngons into quads. i found triangulate and a couple of other options in the functions menu…however i was not able to find the quadrangulate options. i know its a utter noob question!! but i would indeed appreciate.

    regards

  • hi

thanks for answering, if you are talking about the resolution settings of the time controls. yes i have matched them (framerates, resolution and no skip frames),
i’ve even checked the render settings properly. they are exactly what they should be… but when its rendering…in the sixth keyframe the frame is entirely different from what it shows in the comp.
    this is bizzare.
i have a camera with DOF animated (had a keyframe in the 6th frame) i even tried to get rid of that but no luck. now i do not have any kind of keyframe in that frame the …yet it behaving the same way!!!
