    hi
i used all the kind of standard compression available in compressor
    all pal anyway
but the problem was always there

60 minutes HQ, 90 min 120 min and so on…

i tried to made a dvd of the same video using a dvd recorder (yamaha drx1)
at high quality too and the result was very fine
but in this case i can’t insert a menu as i do using dvd studio pro

    any suggestion?

    thanks

    Hi Floh
my device is connected via firewire, it’s a panasonic nv-dv 10000, it’s not on the list of deck control but i use it fine in on line digitizing. But i’m using dvcam 184 min. tapes too, pal system, could this be a problem?
Anyway, I’m thinking that on these tapes the shootings could have equivalent timecodes
    – first shooting starts at 00.00.00.00 and ends after 1 hours, second shooting starts again at 00.00.00.00 and ends after 50 minutes- what happens in this case? is possible to use the batch digitizing with redundant timecode?
i have RS422 portl but where connect it on g4 dual? Which cable i can use?

    thanks

February 14, 2006 at 11:44 pm in reply to: m100 create not fluid dvd video

    thanks a lot
    i use pal system
i read the article you suggested on m100 site
i know now that m100 codecs are not compatible with compressor and i have
    to remove them
otherwhere i have to set the field dominance at “top”

    now i have another problem
the dvd i created is ok if watched on tv screen
instead it shows a green line at top
when i play on computer using dvd player
i compressed the video at high quality
could this HQ be the problem?

February 9, 2006 at 1:15 pm in reply to: watching dvd on pc and tv has different result

    thanks for your help

but i understand that this kind of problem
depends on my video, it’s due to a wrong way
    i compressed the video
it is not a different viewing between the aspect ratio of tv and pc?
i ask this to understand if any video has this problem
or, as i mean, is a problem on my video.

i acquired the video source in pal 720×576 4:3 format
should i change something to avoid the different viewing on tv and pc?

November 23, 2005 at 11:54 pm in reply to: created timecode in RED stops before the end

to insert timecode in boris effect:

    face- text- generator- timecode
you can edit the timecode numbers as you do with any kind of text (color character emboss….)

a long time to have answer from boris support
and creativecow is a big invention
