suggestion in audio editing for a profane? Ty help!
Hi
I’m editing video, just speechs in audio tracks, stereo 48.000 khz, audio is clear just some voice louder than other and i augmented the volume and doubled the tracks for each voice
as Ty suggested i should use Noise reduction, Normalize and Compressor
i would use peak as software, is not mine softwarewhich value use for NR? (i can’t find this effect it in peak filters)
normalize to? 100% or less?
Compress to -5 decibel is good?the video audio come from dvcam
i have to export the video (throught digital port) at the end on dvd recorder in real time, it compresses in ADC format
so i have to elevate the volume before recording to avoid the recorder create a low audio signal;
using digital port i can’t modify the audio recording setting on dvd recorder, i have no mixer with digital port the alternative is using s-video port but i would avoid cause reduction of video quality.thanks to any help.

Just a note to say that in US english language “profane” usually has a different meaning.
I know you mean to say you are “new and unschooled”,
but in US english, “profane” commonly means ungodly, vulgar, or sacrilegious.No worries, because you did not offend anyone, but it is CONFUSING to use “profane” in this way.
A better choice (for future reference) would be “newbie” or “novice” or “uninformed”.

Hi,
Um, if the voices are clear, just at different levels, you don’t need to do all that. Just adjust the levels in the editing program. What editing program are you using?
