    Hi Michael
when you receive the error message about overlapped clips there is nothing you can do, except reboot your computer, search in the backup folder for the last usable program and then begin again from that. Is the first time i have had this problem, after 5 years using m100.
Another? my 8.2.2 sometime lost the synchro of a clip, when i’m editing it in edit suite, if I deselect the video track to drag only the audio from the edit suite to the program and later i try to activate the video track again, the audio tracks result out of synchro with the video. I’m afraid of this operation, so i first drag the clip in the program and only then i delete the video track. Strange but true.

    thanks, you was very clear

the best part of effects i mean are in boris red hosted by media 100, is on these graphic clip that i spend a lot of time. Now, after your help, i can image to upgrade my media 100 i system to be compatible with G5 (buying a G5 at same time), or, in opposite way, think about passing to a sw or hd m100, in both case I have to inform about costs.

    Thanks a lot
    and at last:
how much the graphic card (mine is ati radeon 9000 pro 64 mb) affects rendering time or preview of effects?

thanks a lot for your answer
do you mean that after i’ve edited the video
without rendering effects i should put the entire
timeline in the bin of media 100, open red by media100
then import the timeline in boris red with bin browser comand,
click on cancel, close m100, open red engine
export the video to media 100 (so it render also effects but quicker than m100)
open the video in media100 and then master it?
    This?

    thank you for your answer
this means i should pass to a software which doesn’t use cpu
for apply effect? Does the new media 100 softwares-editing systems work so?
In this way i could avoid waiting for hours to apply effects? Have you some suggestion?

    thanks
