    No

The realtimefx card for media100 renders media100 effects. Things such ass dissolves and wipes. Borisfx will use your processor for it’s renders. Media100 now also uses the processor, something that was changed back in version 7ish…before that it was the Vincent board that helped with the renders…You seem to have pretty good machine specs, your renders should be pretty quick.

If you have Red, I suggest the following workflow.
Get all of your video into Red using the bin browser, save the Red project, then cancel, go back to media100 and shutdown media100. Now launch the Boris Red standalone app….you will see very noticeable performance enhancements, and your final renders will be much quicker. You can render out to the media100 codec from Red, so media100 will not have to re-render the effects…much…much…much quicker workflow.

thanks a lot for your answer
do you mean that after i’ve edited the video
without rendering effects i should put the entire
timeline in the bin of media 100, open red by media100
then import the timeline in boris red with bin browser comand,
click on cancel, close m100, open red engine
export the video to media 100 (so it render also effects but quicker than m100)
open the video in media100 and then master it?
    This?

kind of…..this wouldn’t work for an entire timeline…the way to do this would be to create a reference movie export from media100, this you could import into the stand-alone Boris Red and render out of there.
