Hi,

In Paul’s case, he is using the Kona SD and so cannot use the AJA 1.1.4 drivers. Paul will need to use the DeckLink 5.x drivers which support the Kona SD card under Tiger. The latest drivers can be downloaded from our Kona SD support note.

Hi,

Please launch Blackmagic Deck Control and capture some video. Now play it back in the left window of Deck Control and look immediately above the left window to see the timecode. Click on the time code to see the frame number. This is very useful when working with FrameLink and you want to find a particular frame.

Hi,

We use some of these Dell monitors with the HDLink and the results are stunning. We also find it useful that these same monitors can accept component (SD & HD) as well as composite (SD) analog input. Most of the time we run them in DVI-D mode with HDLink for maximum quality but their analog video inputs are also useful for some tests.

Hi,

Please ensure you are running the DeckLink 4.8.1 driver which is the Vegas 6 Certified Driver Vegas 6 Certified Driver. Vegas 6 was written specifically for use with this version of the driver and I suspect this is the answer to your problem.

Hi Bobby,

Ordinarily when transferring from film at 23.98 or 24fps to PAL video at 25fps, one just runs the telecine at 25fps as the difference is so small it is virtually unnoticeable. If your telecine has SD output, you can capture to a PAL timeline or else capture to a 1080i50 timeline if it has HD output. Is there a deck setting to play out the CineAlta 23.97p material at 25fps?
