I know of the orginal version of AE CS3 had an issue with Leopard. Try downloading the updated software and see if that works.

did you try restarting everything? I work with Mbox 2 and sometimes that’s all it needs.

How are you getting it out of AE right now?

When you render it out, you need to render it for an Alpha Channel. Send it to the Render Queue (not File – export movie). On the output module set it to Animation +, the ‘+’ sign will make it an Alpha Channel. You should lose the black background.

I don’t think there is a short cut. I think you just press A to get the achor to appear in your timeline and then adjust the value to center it. It would be nice just to hold shift or something to center it. You should tell Adobe.

Try moving the Anchor point
select the layer and just press ‘A’ to bring that option up. -
I use a Mac and it’s fine. It is mostly a personal preference. What machine do you feel more comfortable with?
