Okay, It keeps getting weirder. I started up AE to keep working on my rotoscope of the footage and it’s not jumping the frames. Great, so I start trucking along when it starts jumping again. I save my work as is, quit AE, open it up again, start where I left off and it’s not jumping frames. A little bit down the road it starts jumping again. What is going on here?

    AVC-Intra https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVC-Intra

I had to download an AVC-Intra update into FCP to make it useable. With that download I don’t have to render it. I think half my problem is that AE doesn’t support this kind of codec. This is probably why I am having an audio problem.

I haven’t checked out the field dominance yet or tried rotoscoping yet. I just wanted to get back to you on the AVC-Intra. There is also an article about it in Septs issue of “Videography” magazine.

I don’t know what that message means.

    What version of AE?
Did you download any updates on anything right before this happened?

Thanks for the heads up Clint. I did know about the peanut butter, and assumed that Tom was joking. I appreciate you posting that though, just incase others reading this thread wasn’t aware.
The good news is she is starting baby babble so I should have plenty of footage of her mouth movement. Then, hopefully, be able to apply Jason’s idea.

    Very creative guys!
Yeah, I will have to film her for a long long time to have plenty of footage. She is one years old, so making her stay still will be tough but it can be done.

    Nice suggestion!
I haven’t started filming yet. I have never tried anything like this before. I was thinking of filming my niece. How would you suggest I set up the shots to accomplish good source footage for this technique?

When you open preferences and go to Audio Hardware, is that set up properly too?
Do you only have this problem with AE?
