    Thank you guys,
Sorry Bonner, I replied after my second questions saying nevermind that you already answered my question with the links you provided. Some reason my reply didn’t go through. You’re both right. Putting using the null object with the adjustment layer works.
Thanks again for your research and quick replies!

This footage is from a servalience camera. What I did was I put the footage in a comp then added an Adjustment layer where there I put a blur on it. Then I put a mask on the adjustment to make an oval that fit around the head. Could I use motion tracking to get that masked oval to follow the head?

The monitor or the camera. I couldn’t see it or access it at all and I needed to get in there to delete some footage.
Do you know why this combination worked?

    Thanks Jeremy for the response.
    No, the switch wasn’t on.
What I did do is change the settings as follows…

    Video Out – SDSDI
    Video Out Character – On
    TCG – R Run
    Output SEl – Mem

Some how this combination allowed me to view the thumbnails though I don’t understand why.

I agreed with you as far as filming in HD but my director insisted in SD. I even printed out your posting but it was a no go.

We did the shoot and thanks to your advice,Jeremy things went smoothly. There wasn’t a huge difference between the two cameras but of course you can still tell which filmed what. I will have to work some magic in post. It would have been a lot more work if we didn’t have your posts Jeremy.
    Thanks again!

Fantastic feedback Jeremy! This answers a lot. Thanks for the link too.
Do you think there would be much of an issue if we were to film in SD instead of HD on both cameras?

Thanks, I was checking out B&H for wall plates. I didn’t think it made much sense to put the AJA in the wall. Any other suggestion for anything in regards to having camera from the studio communicate to our control room?
