Hi,
I’m having a MS desktop4000 keyboard with its mouse. After few days I removed the MS driver for the mouse, and replaced it with the old Genius driver.
It works like a charm :)))
I like the wheel functionality of the Genius way muuuuch better…
‘Cause I can scroll windows which aren’t focused, and may be half behind another window.
With the genius driver I’m able to scroll those without bringing them to front…
I really love this feature. That’s just an idea: maybe you could look for a vista compatible genius driver?

Hmmm…
Place the cursor (playhead) on the marker you want to snap to, then drag the other event.
It will snap to the cursor, thus to the marker.Just an idea from a user of the outdated Vegas 6 ;))

Hi,
I use Kerio as firewall, NOD32 as anitivir. These are working on my PC. Another thing helps my PC keep free from viruses: I don’t use my PC with admin rights. I logon only as admin when it’s absolutely necessary (installing, upgrading etc.).
If I get to clean someones infected PC, some additional programs help: spyware terminator, hijackthis, sophos anti-rootkit, and AVG, as it’s free.

Doesn’t it move while previewing?

Hi,
Focus on the technical contents rather than the vendor.
I’d choose an intel based motherboard, as much memory as possible (4GB is enough however), and a quadcore (e.g. Q9300) processor will do it.You don’t need a powerful videocard, but an integrated one drops system performance, since it uses the main memory.
So you should take a real videocard, but it can be the cheapest, does not matter, unless you don’t use something that could be boosted by opengl or directx.I’d put a RAID0 with at least 2 pieces of at least 320GB disks for video files, and another small HDD for the system.
Of course you’ll need a DVD burner, or blue-ray is the way you want to go? ;))

Hi,
I try it as simple as possible:
Start DVDA. File menu/new. Choose single movie.
look for your video file, and open it.
Let’s call it Zachs video
Now you have your vide file in your DVDA project.
Select your video (on the left side click on zachs video).
Then on the right side under media properties look for “end action”, select it by clicking, then under it set command to “link”, then “destination” to zachs video.Ready to go, prepare this DVD and it must loop zachs video forever :)))

Hi,
I own a Panasonic GS500 camcorder, and few weeks before I had the chance to have a PD170 in my hands. 😉
My subjective opinion is that the OIS function works similar in both cameras, I didn’t feel any major difference in this regard. Please mind, that the OIS helps a lot, especially with handheld zoomed shots, but it does not substitute a tripod, or a handheld support.
If you can, try the stabilizers, do some zoomed shots, and then view it by playing the shot. This is important, since your brain compensates a lot of shaking while shooting and looking at the LCD. While playing, your brain does not “compensate”, so you can truly evaluate what the stabilizer does.

Hi,
Where do you see it choppy? On the preview, or in the rendered file?
