Hi,
Is “lock envelopes to events” turned on?
Another solution: after the insert, a post-edit ripple all tracks… etc could help (ctrl-shift-F is the shortcut).
That should move everything accordingly after an insert or delete. At least it works on Vegas 6 ;))

And did you try a system restore to a time (let’s say a week ago?), when V8 was still working?
Just another guess…

I just asked if there’s something with .net, because I have a dim remember that I had a very similar error message, and finally reinstalling .net solved it.
So I can recommend you to remove .net and see what happens, and then reinstall .net.
If autoupdate is enabled on your computer, may be you got a new security update from MS, which may cause the problem…
I’m just guessing, I may wrong…

Hi there,
I can admit, there’s absolutely no problem with sp3 and vegas. Even all the hotfixesafter sp3 (there are quite a few). I have it all installed, as my computer is the only one, used for editing, internet and everything else 😉
If it’s about backing up a partition, check out driveimage xml.
It’s an ingeniuos free tool, it also can be integrated into Barts PE, thus able to backup and _restore_ system drives as well.Bart PE utility: https://nu2.nu/pebuilder/
you can build your PE from your XP install CD,
Driveimage xml: https://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htmRegards

I was thinking about this years ago, when I did the same. It was about a normal8 film, and the fellow asked if I could do something whith it.
But I don’t think it would be possible.

Hi,
I could say downloading is not enough, you have to install as well…
:))) Just kidding, sorry. ;))
My experience was that Vegas “does not like” divx encoded videos, however I had problems mostly with the audio part in the past.
To overcome this, google for Virtualdub, it’s a free software, especially for divx dudes.
It is simple and self-explanatory.
It can convert these divx and other filetypes, which are not really supported by Vegas.
So download this software, and convert your avi to another type; I’d recommend a not so highly compressed mjpeg and uncompressed audio.Hope I could help.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for the correction; based upon what I found in my dictionary about “judder” and what I know about Mercalli, I thought Mercalli could be in help.
Sorry for the misunderstood.
Anyway, I learn something every day :)))

Hi,
What about Prodad’s Mercalli?
I saw a demo of it, and personally I know Allen Zagel could achieve good results with it.
Maybe it worth a try.Just an idea.
