You’re using a “wrong” codec, which is limited.
I use “FHG Radium” mp3 codec beside xvid for low
bitrate works.
I found this mp3 codec some time ago on the net,
it was free, search on google for it.By(t)e

is most probably primary master.(Depends on how your machine is organized.)

Hi,
All I write below is “as far as I know”.
If I make a mistake, please correct me.What is happening is that your BIOS is set up
so that it thinks there’s a drive on that place.
Since the bay is empty, the drive is not there.
Bios looks for that drive, and does not find, so it
considers this to be an error, and stops.BIOS’s funtcion is to start the boot only:
Bios loads master boot record from the booting drive
(almost always drive C – better say dirve $80)
when the master boot record is loaded, it is executed.
MBR looks for an active (also known as bootable) partition, and when finds any, loads it’s boot record, then executes it.The partition’s boot record is placed there by the installed
os, assuming it is XP, or w2k, the bootrecords code looks for ntdetect, loads it then executes. Ntdetect will load and execute ntldr.exe.Ntldr starts to load the os, after that point BIOS is not
needed anymore, since NT based systems (all NT versions, W2k, and XP) does not need bios functions to handle drives, they have their own drivers.So, enter BIOS setup, and setup so that there’s only one drive, the one your machine boots from.
All other drive can be -none- or -not installed-.
These devices will be detected by OS, independent of the settings
in BIOS setup.Hope I could help.

I suspect problem with the disc itself.
Try to copy it all to harddisk.
Can you copy all the contents to the harddrive,
or do you get a read error message?By(t)e

When rendering, the bottleneck is the cpu.
So, when it gets 2 times faster, you can expect
render time to tend to a half.In your workflow compare the time it takes to edit
a project (which isn’t going to be much faster) to a
time it takes to render it.By(t)e

Hi Russel,
The quality is already determined by the low
resolution and low bitrate (high compression)
of quicktime mov.
There will be no real quality enhancement rendering
it to a higher resolution, however you could blur it
to reduce it’s blockyness.Make some test renders (and/or burns to RW discs)
to see if you can achieve some subjective enhancement.Colorcorrect it if you’re unsatisfied with it’s colorspace.

Hi there,
Look for quicktime alternative
https://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickTime_Alternative.htm(probably you’ll get lot more result on searching google.)
This installs a directshow codec, so vegas can use mov files
just like any avi, assuming the codec is installed for it.Upsize the picture to 720*576 (PAL) or 720*480 (NTSC)
don’t worry about interlacing or anything, vegas does
the rest.
Just render out to DVD compliant mpeg2.Hope I could help.

Seems yet better as I do now,
to catch it from the temp dir
(DVDAx.m2v) while preparing…I just thought there is a better way.
