Theoretically, it is Advanced Authoring Format.

Give it a try.
However, it surely doeas not work between Vegas and Edius: Edius imports a Vegas saved AAF as an empty project.

Why not?

You can render it with “render as…” as anything.
But I’d set up my project as NTSC, and get the PAL footage on the timeline and do the edit as usual.

What is it good for?
What’s a “digitally copy protected DVD-R”?

Sorry, I’m just way too sceptic when it’s about copy protection.

If it can be played, it can be copyed. If it can’t be played, who’d need it???
Plus there are hundreds of free softwares out there to make possible copy a copy protected disc.

Your opinions?

Hi,

Instead of capturing import that DVD.
(This is the thing I never did myself, but I assume it should work :))

Then set up your project as PAL, and render your video as PAL. Maybe you will have to play around with pan/crop as PAL differs in resolution from NTSC.

I live in PAL country, succesfully converted my PAL DV to NTSC DV.

Thanx the hint on camtasia.
Recording mediaplayers scope was the very last chance I wanted to try, as it will be a hard job to modify the audio part later…

I hoped there’s something like a scope.
If not, then there’s left only mediaplayer.

I still don’t really understand where that lag could come from, so I decided to look for veohtv you mentioned.
I hoped I find there something, anything, that makes me understand.

Unfortunately veohtv is blocked, I can’t access it just because being in Hungary.
I’ve necer seen such a discrimination on the internet so far.

I doubt this. I think Vegas does deinterlace only when really necessary.

Hi,

I’m quite sure Vegas supports only progressive WMV output.
Your project settings determine how to deinterlace, if your source footages are interlaced.
