Lag between clips
I’m making an AMV and at times it lags when switching between different clips. It lags for about 2 seconds, then starts running through the clip normally. How do I eliminate this lag gap?

An AMV is an “Anime Music Video.” They’re typically made by syncing music with various clips from an anime series.

Could you be some specific about your workflow?
Where do you get those lags?(timeline/rendered video?)

The lag becomes increasingly worse as the video progresses (the clip transition lag). At first there’s NO lag between the clips (for 1 transition) then the lag gradually worsens to about 3-4 seconds of hiccups and lagging. After the laggy transition, however, the clip runs perfectly fine. That is, until the next clip transition.

-hidden “gaps” may have developed during the video assembly and accumulated; thus worsening it progressively
-Video type simply doesn’t get along with Vegas (I downloaded it directly from VeohTV)
-I tinkered around with the VeohTv footage on Windows Movie Maker, and discovered the same problems, however I found that only specific clips produced that problem.
-Didn’t see a gradual compilation of lag that time.I’m still not exactly sure as to what’s going on. Is there some sort of “feature” on Vegas that compensates for that lag?

Hi,
I still don’t really understand where that lag could come from, so I decided to look for veohtv you mentioned.
I hoped I find there something, anything, that makes me understand.Unfortunately veohtv is blocked, I can’t access it just because being in Hungary.
I’ve necer seen such a discrimination on the internet so far.Regards

Wow. I can’t believe they blocked you =/.
I should be fine though. I was tinkering around with it last night and I think the Veoh clips are what’s causing the problem.
