    What is it good for?
    What’s a “digitally copy protected DVD-R”?

Sorry, I’m just way too sceptic when it’s about copy protection.

If it can be played, it can be copyed. If it can’t be played, who’d need it???
Plus there are hundreds of free softwares out there to make possible copy a copy protected disc.

    Your opinions?

    Regards

I think that it might work as well as the commercial DVD copyguard which is to say that someone who has the intent and the smarts to copy it will be able to but it might keep the normal hockey mom/dad or bride/groom from making copies of your work so that you can make some money off of your efforts. It might keep honest people honest and the others are going to do what they want.

Interesting product. At 1000 count it adds $1.00 per disc which you could easily pass on to the customer. It would be interesting to see if the standard free DVD copy software would copy it. Since most copy software targets specific schemes they might not work on these discs making it a good deal.

    Hi Terry
Didn’t see that one but Primera is also offering the same kind of thing.

Does DVDA 5 provide copy protection?
If so, how is it applied?
    Thanks JK

    No
It provides a flag that tells the repplicator (not burner) to apply copy protection.
