  • Hi Jacob,

I just wanted to add some specifics:

the ability to simply do a recapture based on a Sequence allowing users to “Uprez” their footage quickly and easily.

the ability to Consolidate media in the project allowing you to capture an entire tape as 1 file, create sub clips from that one file in a bin, and then simply have the one large file be broken into individual files representing the sub clips you created in the bin.

the ability to quickly and easily move Bins, Sequences, Sources, Metadata, between projects, having to import an entire project into another project is just not cutting it.

the ability to better control rendering, specifically the ability to delete or create individual renders in a sequence.

These are just a couple of quick specific examples of media management specifics related to an individual PPro system. Theres a whole lot more when you need to share projects with multiple workstations over a network.

Hope this helps to explain. . .

From what I can read in the manual

OUTPUT TERMINAL MENU set to Component (component cable must be connected)

HDV PB OUTPUT menu set to 1080i

    No 1080i thru firewire.

    Hope that helps

I just found this on the Matrox based forum site:

    Hi John,

Could you tell us what format your HDV video is on your camera?

You can capture HDV video shot at a 1080 60i or 1080 50i format. Some cameras shoot at a 720P HDV format which is not supported with Matrox Axio.

If your footage was shot in a 1080 60i format you would choose the Axio HDV preset listed under Matrox-HD–>1080i–>29.97.
If your footage was shot in a 1080 50i format you would choose the Axio HDV preset listed under Matrox-HD–>1080i–>25.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Regards,

    Chris.

I am a bit surprised by this since there seems to be a setting for 720P @c 59.94 in the project options, but what do I know : )

There’s no reply on that forum because there is NO POST on that forum. . .I’m talking about the Matrox Forum here at the COW

What version of Axio are you using?

Did you create the project as a Matrox-HD, 720P 59.94 based project?

I capture from a Sony Z1, FX1, HC1 @ 1080i without any problem on my Axio but have never tried the JVC @ 720.

January 6, 2006 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Deleting Premiere Pro Projects

This will delete the project file only, not the media associated with it. The way I do it is to open the project, note the locations that my scratch disks setting are set to, and then manually go to those locations to archive or delete the media. You can also use Project Manager to Trim the project first which will create a new folder containing all required files for this project, a great way to archive.
