I just like to keep my yap shut once in a while so it doesn’t seem like I’m the ONLY one using Axio . . .

Lance, I don’t get it. I read your bio under your Forum Leader picture, you’re a forum leader, you get glowing reviews from the Boomers, you join a thread and tell us – “I know the answer, I’m just not in the mood to share”
Not exemplory behavior especially for a leader on the COW. I hope you re-consider. . .LS

If you select all of the clips you want to export from the bin and load all of them into the Source Viewer, you can export them from there, one at a time, just use the next clip keyboard command to have the next clip in the Source Viewer.

If money is no object, I use Matrox Axio with PPro 2.0 and it speeds things up tremendously. Haven’t tackled MPEG4 outputs yet but outputting a 42 minute Sequence to MPEG2 for DVD renders out in about 18 minutes with Axio on my Dual Core HPxw9300.

January 18, 2006 at 2:58 am in reply to: What exactly is Media Management? (Premiere is lacking this….people say)It shows a complete lack of understanding of the software/formats/ and offline/online workflow specially when it comes to HDV and timecode! PPro could easily do what you ask had you set up the project properly to begin with.
I had hoped you would provide us with this “easy” solution to approaching this task as this is a common need for most of us who work with double-system sound. As Tim accurately points out, one of the “shortcomings” of HDV is audio quality and it would really be great to find the proper project setup you mentioned, please don’t end this very important and informative thread in dead silence. . .

January 17, 2006 at 9:59 pm in reply to: What exactly is Media Management? (Premiere is lacking this….people say)Lance, for the sake of information and education, can you describe for ALL of us the best workflow to deal with a situation similar to what David has. I will be in a similar workflow soon and hope to use PPro 2.0 on my Axio system to accomplish this. I’d like to know the proper workflow for long-form projects, with a lot of source material, being able to consolidate down my unused material as I go if I need the additional room. And then the proper way to batch recapture material in my final sequence only (with handles).
Thanx in advance
