Hi Manual,

There are implementations of 10-bit DVI over dual link but I haven’t seen any thing that does so. If you use HDMI or DisplayPort output via adapters on the HDLink Pro DisplayPort, the output will be 10-bits.

Hi Mike,

We have the exact same Samsung monitor in our labs and I can confirm that it works and we use the Monoprice adapters as well.

WHat is the length of your HDMI cables? We find the Samsung monitors to be more sensitive on its input compared to the Panasonics and sometimes, plugging the displayport adapter on the HDLink in and out a few times will help “wake” it up. What are you choosing as the 3D output option?

I assume you’re referring to 1080p50/60?

The hardware is capable of doing so but current USB 3.0 host controllers don’t have enough bandwidth to do so, even when wired to PCIe 2.0 bus. As such, the option for these high frame rates modes are not available. The moment the host controllers are able to support these frame rates, Intensity Shuttle and UltraStudio Pro will be updated to take advantage of the available bandwidth.

Hi Sean,

You can toggle the frame rate output of the video in HDLink Utility in the Preferences area. We can over-ride the EDID requested by the monitor and send native frame rate (48Hz for your 24p material, 50Hz for you 25p). If not, we send out a 60p video as that’s usually what’s requested by the monitor.

You can also send color bars and toggle the Blue only option in HDLink so that you can adjust your monitor.

Hi Tad,

What version of drivers do you have installed? If you let the System Preferences quit and restart, you should be able to see the version of Blackmagic drivers you’re using at the top of the Blackmagic preference pane window. The preference pane will also tell you which specific model of capture card you’re using.

From what you’re describing, it sounds like you’re using an older driver that was released before Snow Leopard.
