It’s not going to work because the ExpressCard 1.0 interface (2.5 Gb/s)does not provide enough bandwidth requested by the Pocket UltraScope.

The reason this is happening is because the HD Extreme card is running off its own internal clock while your Firebox is also running on its own clock. You have video output and audio output both running on different clocks, hence the AV sync issues.
I checked the Firebox manual and noticed that is has the option to use the SPDIF input as the clock source. If you can somehow convert the AES output of the HD Extreme card to SPDIF and connect that to the SPDIF input of the Firebox, then set the Firebox to use that clock source, you might be able to then use it as the audio output source. No guarantees though but worth a shot.

What kind of graphic card do you have in your system?
We’ve tried reproducing this issue inhouse in our QA labs without any success. It’s frustrating but once we can see the issue inhouse, we can fix it.

They are not discrete SDI inputs. Input B is used when you’re capturing dual link hd-sdi.

Yes, the driver will recognise and be able to configure multiple cards.
The question is what application you’re going to be using as most end user apps only will address one.

It depends on how the HDMI 3D output is implemented on the consoles. If they are sending out frame packed HDMI 1.4 3D, then the answer is no. HD Extreme 3D in its current form will not be able to capture that.
If it’s side by side, line by line, top and bottom 3D that is in the 1920×1080 frame raster, then it’s just like normal video so we can do it right now.
1080p60 support in HD Extreme 3D is dual link HD-SDI in 4:2:2 color space. Intensity Shuttle is capable in hardware of 1080p support (also 4:2:2) but until the USB host chips catch up in terms of bandwidth, it won’t do it right now. The moment that bandwidth limitation is overcome, Intensity Shuttle will do it.
We’ve never done 8-bit RGB support because it was never an issue before. In the TV world, the most common formats are 8-bit YUV, 10-bit YUV and 10-bit RGB. Can we do 8-bit RGB? We could potentially, so I’ll speak to the guys here and see what we can do. As usual, no promises.

Run the Disk Speed Test application and see what kind of speeds you’re getting from your drive. Next check what format you’re capturing to. If you’re using Uncompressed video, then you should be getting Write and Read results of at least 150 Mb/s and above for HD 1080, if not you’re bound to drop frames.

If you are working in 1080i59.94 and NTSC, standard NTSC will cover both formats, no meed for tri level. However, I will still consider this a bug as Videohub I meant to only sync the outputs which I compatible with the Ref input. If the reference is not compatible, the ref will be ignored.
We will check this out to see what going on.

If it’s already interleaved in the SDI stream, then it’s just normal video and up to your monitor to decode it. Doesn’t matter if it’s HDMI 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4.
If it’s frame packed 3D HDMI output, then that’s a different story. You will ned a dual stream input anyway and the mini converter does not support that. You are better off looking at the HDLink pro 3D.
