This is a bit different on Macs. If you’re using Final Cut Pro, check your capture presets editor and click on the Advance button in the audio section. Make sure that your speakers are turned on while recording.

Hi Steve,

Simply use “Blackmagic NTSC/PAL – DV” easy setup in Final Cut Pro HD. That will capture the video from the SDI outputs of your deck to DV. You’ll need to G5 do to do this.

Did you run Disk Speed Tool from the drives you’re testing? It installs to your startup volume by default.

Hi,

While in the midst of implementing the new website, we went with blackmagic-design.net just to ease things with the transition. There’s a bit of confusion here but our main site is still https://www.blackmagic-design.com/ and that’s where you should go for the latest information. I think there is a redirect happening now when you open the website but do bear with us while we iron out the kinks.
