We don’t provide commonly used settings or else the list of Easy Setups will be so long everyone will have a hard time looking for the right one!

However, you can easily make your own based on the ProRes HQ preset. Else give our support guys a call and I’m sure they will be able to send you a preset you can install.

Hi Trent,

Jason is correct. You’re hearing the raw bitstream audio that has not been decoded. Media Express does not have a built in DTS decoder so the audio file will sound like static.

I suppose you are using Media Express?

Is it freezing on every format? If you are in Media Express’s Capture mode and leave it in input mode without hitting record, does the system freeze?

Have you tried changing the capture location to another drive?

How long into the capture before it freezes?

Hi Samir,

It’s strange that you are using the DeckLink Duo card as this card is really targeted at developer and OEMs. It is 2 DeckLink SDI cards built onto one card and appears in your system as 2 separate cards even though it only takes up one PCIe slot.

If you manage to get Print to Video working but you’re not getting audio, it’s very likely FCP is using the audio output from one SDI connection but sending video output from another. Look into your FCP setup and you will see 2 DeckLink audio devices, just pick the other one.

Same thing with capturing, Final Cut Pro may be using the SDI input you’re not connecting to as there are 2 of them on the card. Have you tried the other SDI input connection?

What codec does your client want them to be in?

The best compatibility will be 10-bit uncompressed. They both use the same FourCC on Windows and Mac.

Currently on Windows, you can capture to MJPEG and Uncompressed.

On the Mac, you can capture to DVCPRO HD and ProRes as long as Final Cut is installed. This is because the codecs are provided by Final Cut Pro and not us.

Have you tried any other output resolutions from your PC? It’s possible that some resolution may have a little timing variation that could cause issues.

Unfortunately not. This workflow will not work as the PowerDVD will not be able to detect the Multibridge as an output device.

Hi,

We have tested against Panasonic, Sony and Samsung’s 3DTV and they work fine.

The Samsung display only supports frame packing in 720p50, 720p59.94, 1080p23.98 and 1080p24.

The Panasonic and Sony will also support 1080i50 and 1080i59.94 frame packing mode.
