    Hi Mikhail,

You can also use the displacement deformer instead of using the displacement channel in the material so you will can load your video etc, into the “shader” tab of the deformer maybe you will avoid the problem.

October 1, 2023 at 11:05 am in reply to: Segment size change

If you mean that the number of segments in the cube was 3 on each side, then you make a loop selection and now you want to change the dimensions, then in the same way as before, you go to the panel below and change the values. You will find two equal values that control the protrusion and atrophy of the segments and other different values that control the width of the selection area as in the screenshots below. I hope I understand well what you are looking for, if there is anything else I will be happy to help you

    Hi David,

after you make the model editable you find the size in the panel under the viewport so you modify the size and then click apply just make sure that you turn the mode to “model” like in the screenshot below.

    hope that will help

    thanks

September 27, 2023 at 9:47 am in reply to: Hair on cloth tear

    Hi Martin,

I could not see the attached file, but I would just like to ask you: Does the hair move with the cloth if you move the model? If the hairs do not move with the model, I think this tutorial will have a solution to your problem, as there is an attached file explaining the method.

    I hope this helps you

I did this using the boole property, which you try to avoid all the time 🙂

As I said, I didn’t quite understand how you wanted to accomplish this. Just when I saw that you had a problem with the sphere shape that appears when you use the approximal effect in the alpha channel, I wanted to show you how to make it a cube to help you. If you could please attach a file explaining your idea perhaps someone can complete what you are looking for. Thank you

    Hi Tom,

I have not understood your idea well yet, but you can convert the shape to a cube by disabling the Soft option in the alpha channel, then go to Proximal and change the function to an inverse cubic, as in the screenshots attached below.

    I hope this helps you

  • Hi Maxi,

I think it requires further information about your scene to clarify the problem, but I suggest that you bake your animation as Alembic, as this will avoid a lot of problems when exporting animation from cinema 4D to another program.

    Hope that will help

September 22, 2023 at 8:41 am in reply to: Cinema 4d Rotate Camera around an axis

    Hi Andrew,

Please let me know what you mean when you say (I’m to the cinema)? Do you mean an older version? Usually the camera does not move from its place if you just rotate the view. Maybe your scene has a special case, you could post the file here so we can check it for you.

    Thanks!

This is another way using “volume builder” to cut through your model without problems. You will find an explanation of this in the second half of this tutorial
