Hi Eric,
[Eric Santiago] “Of late due to the update on a few Mac Pro’s here to CC 2014, the ability to burn a Blu-Ray has vanished on the Premiere Pro side of things (well Adobe period).”
You can create a DVD or Blu-ray disc with Encore CS6, which is still available for sale or via subscription to our customers. The only thing missing is dynamic link capability with current versions of CC applications, which (as I understand it) is not a deal breaker for most people authoring discs.
Can’t you plug-in an external Blu-ray burner to the new Mac Pro?
[Eric Santiago] “I have to re-install CS 6 to get it back now.”
That’s right. You need to install Premiere Pro CS6 to receive Encore CS6 (and AME CS6). After Encore is installed, you can uninstall Premiere Pro CS6 if you do not need it. You can also choose to keep it installed in case you really need to edit using dynamic link capability with Encore.
[Eric Santiago] “And when I try finding it online, it kicks me to install Premiere Pro CC 2014 which does not have any options to Encore?”
If you purchased Premiere Pro CS6, you can download it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
If you are a CC customer, you can download it from Creative Cloud for desktop under “Previous Versions.” This doc will show you how: https://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/encore-cs6-installed-cc.html

Hi Joe,
You said you are having trouble exporting Premiere Pro CC sequences from AME CC 2014? My feeling is that you should be using only AME CC for your exports. That’s what stands out to me most. If AME CC is giving you trouble, you may want to uninstall and then reinstall the application. Thanks,

Hi Gregoire,
Is this an individual CC license or an enterprise one?If it’s individual, sign out of CC, restart Premiere Pro, then sign back in. AME should then have the proper codecs.
If it’s an enterprise version, make sure the IT dept. has installed the proper CC package, there are two different ones, one with the codecs, the other without.
Hope that works for you.
Kevin

Hi Kent,
[Kent Beeson] “but I do usually right click in my project window and select “import” – is this a problem?”
Yes, it could introduce issues like this.
To avoid these problems, make sure that the entire card from the camera is copied to your media drive, then, import the files using the Media Browser and not File > Import or by dragging.
Thanks,

Hi Tom,
It does not sound right. Do you have the “Render at Maximum Depth” setting enabled? That can slow down things significantly. Thanks,

January 23, 2015 at 9:50 pm in reply to: NVIDIA Card with Yosemite and Premiere causing major graphics failureHi,
Our support reps say that the NVIDIA 6.5.37 drivers solve the issue for most OS X 10.10 Yosemite users. You may want to reinstall those drivers. Thanks,

Hello Emanuel,
Uninstalling CUDA in systems with AMD GPUs used to be necessary for our software. No longer.Since Premiere Pro CC 2014.0 (8.0) and After Effects CC 2014.0 (13.0) CUDA drivers (necessary to run Resolve) can now live alongside OpenCL drivers.
At the top of my blog post, I mention that these bugs are fixed.
Please be very clear, though. Installing CUDA drivers in a system with AMD GPUs will not accelerate ray-traced 3D compositions in After Effects. That still requires a physical NVIDIA GPU and CUDA, which is not possible with the 2013 Mac Pro.
Thanks,

Hi Warren,
[Warren] “Is there a way to convert an Elements project to a CC project?”
Yes, but it’s a Windows only workflow. I caution you that it doesn’t work very well. At least from my testing. If you are using a Mac, then it’s simply not supported.
Thanks,
