September 12, 2014 at 9:46 pm in reply to: Why is Playback of video slooooooooow on iMac??Hi Camille,
[Camille Kleinman] “For some reason PP wasn’t using the mercury GPU acceleration thingy but after adding my graphic card module number to a certain text file like he showed it now works fine.”
Ah yes, the thingy! You must be using Premiere Pro CS5, CS5.5, or CS6. WIth Premiere Pro CC, you should not have to add the graphics card to the text file any more. It will do that automatically for any graphics card with over 1 GB of RAM.

Hi Mark,
We just announced a consolidate and transcode function in Premiere Pro that would be perfect for your needs. Only trouble is that it hasn’t been released yet, but will be soon. Can you hang in there for a short time or do you need to get going now? For now, you can use Prelude or AME to transcode your footage before you get started. Thanks,

September 9, 2014 at 4:50 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC14 and After Effects CC14 crash on start upHi Konstantin,
Check out this article: https://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2014/03/19/avoid-installing-nvidia-cuda-drivers-on-computers-with-amd-gpus/You may still have issues even if the NVIDIA card is removed as sometimes NVIDIA drivers are mistakenly added to your computer.
I would also make sure that you have the latest drivers for your GPU.
