a single drive probably not… I have been using a usb3 drive with sata 3 and a sata 3 drive… maximum read speed… 110 read and only
80 write.. not quite fast enough. you would probaly need at least a 3 drive raid.. K -
Try creating and image instead of burning to a disc… this will tell you weather it is a disc creation problem or a disc burning problem.. also… change the name of the project…. Ken

I have had a problem similar to this before. It turned out that i was
trying to create a file where there were blank spots in the audio. I assumed that vegas would create silence in these areas but something happened to make the audio track slightly shorter than the video.. Try
checking to make sure the audio and video track are filled completely and the same length… Ken -
ProRes works great on the pc. But you can only read it you cannot create a prores file. You can download the plug in for quicktime at the apple website go to

I have been using an HP dv9543cl laptop… 500meg video card.. 4 gig of ram. 2 internal 500 gig 7200 rpm hard drives..I dual boot snow leopard with FCP on one and Windows 7 64 pro (loaded from scratch) with Vegas Pro 9 on the other drive.. With macdrive I can utilize the other internal drive and still hook up something external… Works pretty good as long as you understand that laptops will always have their limitations.. But the dual internal drives & portability help pull it off..

try backing up to vegas pro 9C.. Versions D and E are a mess. After trying to use E and crashing 6 times in a row (while a client was sitting with me) I switched back to verC and everything works great.

just add 000 to the front of your file names and everything will work great. If you need a program for renaming go to CNET and get ReNamer
