Are those memory errors in Vegas Pro 32 or 64? I have not run into them yet and I have been working with large files….900gig to bluray.
I also have premiere and fcp7. Premiere is a mess with lots of bugs and crashes..(cs3 and 4) FCP7 is ok but it has it’s own issues of it’s the apple way or the highway..Ken

April 9, 2010 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Graphics Rendering with Jagged Edges?

I used this setting when I downsized a movie from hd interlaced to ntsc interlaced… it fixed the issue..Open project video properties (alt+ent) set motion blur to Gaussian and Deinterlace method to blend fields.. this appears to apply adaptive interlacing to your output. (just the parts that are edgy) … you can now re trancode your output and it should smooth out only the jagged edges… Ken

You might want to load the divx and xvid codecs into your computer..
That is what handbrake uses for .avi files..(MP4)

January 18, 2010 at 7:35 pm in reply to: Levels increase with Quicktime export

This happens on the pc using quicktime pro especially h264… if you have quicktime pro you may be able to fix it….
1.open the clip in quicktime pro
    2.go to window/show movie properties
    3.click on video track/visual settings
    4.next to transparency pick blend/100%
    5.then alpha (straight alpha)
6.toggle or turn on the high quality.
    7.save the file
this works most of the time… it is quicktime pc sabotage?

    I am a little confused.. I can create a 720 24 template in vegas pro9.
I just called up the 720 23.976 template and changed the frame rate to 24 and saved it… would that be the same or is there a problem with that… K

I have had good results with ONTRACK Data recovery but it is expensive.
Now I use EASEUS DATA RECOVERY PROFESSIONAL with excellent results.

If you have windows on your computer download the Vegas9 Pro editing demo.. Everything works for 30 days. You can import the files directly into vegas and edit them or convert them to a mac format..
