    Which video was it?

For the quicktimes, you can right-click on the qt symbol and choose, open link in a new window. That will give you the URL. Copy and paste that to let people know where they need to go.

There are a variety of hotels that have really good prices and even if you’re not right across the street from the convention, keep in mind that many hotels offer free shuttle service to and from the convention so it’s not necessary to be “right there.” — unless, of course you want to. Keep in mind that the hotels that are really good deals in that they are cheap AND close fill up really quick.

That link I provided in the post above shows you which hotels will have shuttles. But even that shouldn’t limit you to one of those hotels. If your hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle, it may be close to one that does. Just walk to the shuttle.

Some of the products will be available for purchase and others will just be demos of upcoming products. Many of the companies will offer show specials — either on the spot sale or a coupon that’s good for a week or two.

You need to contact the company, explain the situation and ask for replacement discs.

I realize this is an old tutorial, but you might get some idea’s from Mark Simpson’s Growing a Tree tutorial:

Of course the closest hotel would be the Las Vegas Hilton –It’s right next door, but I’m sure you’d pay a pretty penny for staying there if you could even get a room.

    https://www2.expobook.com/docs/evt/83/N06OffiRatesMap.pdf

Clicking on that will get you a look at the hotels available through the nabshow reservation line. There’s also a map at the bottom of the page to see the proximity of the hotel to the convention. Keep in mind that most hotels have shuttles to the convention and I think the monorail is now running and provides a quick trip to the convention as well. Not sure if the monorail is free, but the shuttles will be.

Also try various online travel services. If you’re flying in, you might be able to get a fly/hotel package that will be a better deal than just booking the room separately.

And don’t forget, if you’re going to go, please get your free VIP expo pass by using our link

And be sure and stop by the booth to say hi. — Booth SL3121

Bill O’Neil did a series of iPod spoof commercials for one of his clients. In this AE tutorial, he discusses how it was shot and some of the post work. Might give you some ideas.

Also, click on his picture to find his bio page — it will list his other tutorials as well. In one he uses AE’s vector paint to rotoscope.

Since you’re using OSX, create an icon of your desktop and stick it in your dock. Then you can easily switch from your open programs to your desktop. That’s the way I manage multiple programs and it seems much easier than trying to hide them.
