[Curtis Thompson] “cold went away but i found a new one to take its place.. :-/”

That’s no fun. Ron’s been fighting an ear infection again. It seems a nasty flu bug is going around this year.

Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks Curtis. We’re using CyberDuck for SFTP now and somehow, I screwed something up, so every file I move pops up a permission dialog. The author of CyberDuck told me all I needed to do was delete that file and relaunch the program, but I can’t figure out where the file is so that I can delete it.

Is there a command that just deletes the file instead of the roundabout way of asking where it is? Or is it something that has multiple lists on it and I really do need to edit the file?

Oh, by the way, how’s that cold you had? Hope you’re feeling better.

There’s been so much discussion about this tutorial already. The quickest thing to do would be to use our search engine and search for the various past posts.

[Jack McGee] “Can I ask where the hotel is?”

If you’re not going to have a car, you need to make sure you’re either on a bus, shuttle or monorail line. Taxi’s are exorbitant and things will be too far to walk — unless, it’s right across the street.

There’s no real parking available at the convention center anyway, so if you have a car, you need to find a “parking spot” that’s near a shuttle or the monorail and then take the shuttle into the convention center. Allow plenty of time for all of this because traffic is really bad during “rush hours”

[Aanarav Sareen] “Now, I have to find people that are flying out from NYC on Sunday morning. If I can find 5 or so people, it won’t be such a boring flight after all.”

I think Aharon is flying out Sunday morning. Serge and his wife and son may also be flying out that day. I’m not sure yet what their plans are. I’m sure there are many from NY that will be flying in on Sunday. Should be a fun trip.

And, of course, there’s the COW Leaders’ breakfast on Tuesday.

I’ve never stayed at the Best Western in Las Vegas, so I don’t know. It’s not necessary to be close to the convention center because the NAB approved hotels all have shuttles and I understand the monorail is running as well.

Although, where ever you stay, you need to get your reservations as the good hotels fill up fast. Good and cheap, really fast.

I’ve got my team booked in the Flamingo. It’s further from the convention, but they have a shuttle, it’s on the monorail line and they have a nice buffet as well as a few good quick cafes. You might try calling your travel agent. Many people get really good fly-hotel packages that beat anything you could get directly.

[BrAd S] ” I’ve apparently posted these questions to the wrong forum. I’ll try FCP.

A better place to ask your question would probably be our Art and Craft of Editing forum

    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_view_posts.cgi?forumid=27

or search that forum. There have been many discussions on this topic.
