    Dear Friends & Colleagues,

My animated short film “Make Someone Happy” is now available for viewing online at: https://www.bentplug.net
    Please check it out!

Make Someone Happy is a labor of love that took more than a year to get from concept to completion; not to mention the two years it took to get it from completion to online distribution. It is a story about those wonderful people in the world who can make your day without saying a word. It is my sincere hope that this film brings a smile to your face and in some small way helps to brighten your day.

I would really like to thank the whole Cinema 4D community for fostering my development as an artist and individual over the years. You guys and gals have been really great to me and this film would never have been made were it not for your support when I was just starting out.

    On Comments & Criticism:
This film is a couple years old and it is just now making it’s way online. Technology and artistry have developed so much in the past 2 years that I must admit the piece looks a bit dated. I still think the story is pretty strong and would like for you to judge it on it’s merits as a piece of entertainment not as a demonstration of what is possible in Cinema 4D.

    Technical Notes:
All modeling, lighting and rendering was done in Cinema 4D XL 8.5.
All character animation was done using Kaydara’s Motion Builder 5.5.
Textures were painted with a combination of Photoshop and Bodypaint.

    Sincerely,

    Donovan Keith

PS: If for some reason the above link is not working, the film can be viewed directly through Google Video at: https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1073196815630975235

Cool story. Only one thing though. Your Wipe is on the wrong side. It appears as though she opens and slams the door from it’s hinges.
