  • Thanks for letting me know it was “missing.” — Of course, it was still there. Sometimes the metas get lost and we have to go find them and help them home. Maybe too much drinking or something. :-0

You can find it by clicking on the After Effects COW title banner or click here to go directly to it.

Couldn’t pass up the dancing cow.

  • Thanks for the heads up. It probably dropped it’s metas — I’ll see if I can find it and fix it.

There were several that I would term “darkly funny” — although, twisted was the word we called them here. I think it was a toss up for us between the Magic Fridge, FedEx and Ameriquest Airplane”?”– not sure if that’s the title.

Ron’s favorite was the Magic Fridge —

Of course, we were looking strictly as a consumer and not a broadcast designer.

Yes, I’ll be emailing all the leaders about the breakfast or I think we’re about to launch our leaders’ listserv again so I can communicate with everyone that way.

I haven’t started organizing the breakfast, but in the past it’s been on Tuesday morning at 7 am at the Flamingo Island Buffet. I’m hoping to arrange something similar this year. It’s become a fun tradition even though there’s not a lot of time for eating because we all want to visit with everyone that we’re finally meeting in person.

Ron and I always drive down from Cambria — certainly not the drive that you’ll be making though. That will be quite the trip. You’ll have to write your experience for an article in the COW.

OK, I know that Japanese style is not the same as Chinese, but Joe Chao sent us a Chinese Style Painting Effect Tutorial that you might get some ideas from:

    https://www.creativecow.net/articles/chao_joe/chinese_painting/index.html

It’s kind of a hand drawn, water color look.

  • Aharon did a quick video tutorial showing how to import paths from Illustrator (and Photoshop)– it’s available now as a podcast in our AE Channel

Or, it will soon be available as a video tutorial on site.

I haven’t started organizing yet, but I’m sure we’ll have our annual COW Leaders’ breakfast again this year.

Tuesday morning at 7am seems to be a good time for it. It’s always fun to get together and meet a few of the leaders. In the past Charlie KIng in our Avid forum has helped me put it together — and perhaps I should get started with the organizing and see if he’d like to help again this year.

I’d really love to have a dinner get together, but it seems that most of the evenings are already taken and I don’t want to compete with things people are already doing.

Looking forward to seeing you again at the cow breakfast.

Ron and I are on Macs and we use a program called rBrowser.
    https://www.rbrowser.com

It has SSH and SFTP options which is why we use it. I find it quite easy to use. Just drag and drop, You can drag individual files or entire folders. I think they have a demo you can try before you buy. The guys are very responsive for tech support as well.
