Avid will work only with AVID hardware – you can use MB only as converter box – thus no deck controll

1. you canot add 3:2 during capture – so you will have to capture to 24 DVCPRO HD
but when you edit the 24p you can play out with 3:2

2. Yes you can play out HDV straight to SDI or Component

hmm to think of it I have not tried the frame link on win machine – on mac it works fine on quicktime
Unfortunatly I do not have a PC workstation anymore so cannot confirm or daeny anything
