SD cards for HDV cam capture
Is it possible to do a live tapeless capture from the Sony HDR-FX1 component ports to a Blackmagic SD capture card?

Hi Scott,
It will not be possible as the SD card will only see SD signals. The only way to go about it will be if you’re down converting via the camera (not sure if that’s possible).

yes it is possible – you just have to turn out downconversion
