Yet another reason to disable the drive sleep function is that spin up/down cycles is the point of greatest failures in drives. The less you spin them up the less likely the are to fail. Ironically the more time you have your drives spinning the better off they are.

Hopefully you have a unit with the 1100kwh power supply. It’s should have two loose 6pin connectors. You should be using those to power the 580. You’ll also need a 6pin to 8pin adapter. The 4pin molex adapter is if you need additional power. But you should be using the 6pins.

If you need them now get them now. BMD does regularly introduce new products at NAB which is 13 days away. But generally the new products don’t ship right away.

Try the latest nvidia drivers. You can download them from nvidias site.

You upgraded from 10.6.8 to lion? You should do a clean install of lion, do all the patch updates then install resolve.

Use media manager to copy the sequence into a new project using exciting media. And uncheck the “inactive multi clip angles” option.

FCPX video out only works in Lion.

I can confirm this too. 680 does not work. For now. Seems only Fermi architecture is supported in drivers. May change in the future.
