Here’s what I’m trying to do:
I have a picture of a ham that I’m making grow in a composition for a commercial. However, I want the edge of that ham to be curved behind a green peice.

    See attached image.

What I’m wondering if there’s a way in after effects that will allow me to put a mask there that will curve the image of the ham and that will stay in place while the ham grows.

use a solid layer with a mask above the ham, and track matte alpha that layer.
