  • The hyperdeck only accepts and records 4:2:2 you’ve signals. That is normally 709 colors pace in hd. Though some cameras (f3) allow a log over 4:2:2 signal… So you could need to apply a lut to get a proper image. But yes, hyperdeck only record uncompressed 4:2:2.

I sometimes see this on my KVM. I suspect it has to do with recognizing the dl signal. I just turn the monitor off and on and that clears it up.

The power supply in the Mac pro can’t support that 590.

As soon as the second gpu kicks in the system will kernel panic.

I was able to see both cards as properly listed gpus in my config and was even able to test it with davinci. But as soon as I stressed the gpu enough to kick in the second gpu… It was done.

The title sequence is included in the offline once it’s done. Generally that is sometime after the first ep is cut, before any others are locked.

HFS won’t preform very well in Windows, and NTFS doesn’t have native write ability on mac (you can use third party NTFS drivers with write) so either way you will have decreased performs. So just pick which one you will use more often. However, I don’t recommend sharing drives that way.

If you want to have even more fun you could pick a third platform as your filesystem… ext2 has both windows and mac drivers.

I’ve ordered one to test. Yes pcie3.0 is backward compatible with pcie2.0 but I don’t know if nvidia drivers will support 680 in Mac. Will let you know.

Multiple boxes sharing the same media would require a San. Check out stornext/Xsan free for the Mac client.

Xdcam is only supported in an mov container. To use AAF into resolve you need to transcode to DNxHD.
