Yeah…I always suggest loading the latest video card drivers from either nVidia.com or ATI.com
The drivers that come with the boards can be several months out of date sometimes depending on how long theyve been on the distributors shelves.

I wouldn’t say that we won’t acknowledge it…however I can say that I haven’t seen it in my labs. Have either of you contacted our support offices so we can go through some troubleshooting?
My first suggestion would be if there was an upgrade mid project (which we generally recommend against) try this as a sanity check. Start a new project loading up a new easy setup. Does the video output correctly there? Maybe there is some issue in there.
Also did you upgrade to 4.2 as well as to 7.3.2?
Give that a try and let us know.

Hrm…well. To be more specific.
It can dual dual link 2k output as well as 3Gb 2k output. If you want to connect that to a 30″ monitor for full res monitor output you will need an HDLink Pro which will support the 3Gb in and convert to DVI.
What type of monitor are you using that is not taking the input? Are you sure the monitor has a 3Gb input?

This port is for internal programming and will not be used by the customer in most cases. This is how we program the board at the factory. It will not function when the board is installed in the computer.

A new version will be coming out in the future with a different resolution preset which could help here. I am not sure on the exact date, but it is in the pipline.

Okay..let me clarify.
It’s not really an oversite. These presets were omitted to prevent a “MORE” massive list of easy setups.
Good news it is extremely easy to get what you are looking for. Just duplicate the easy setup, then go into the easy setup and change the codec from the HQ codec to the standard one, or the offline one. The easy setups are identical outside of which codec is being used.
So just duplicate and choose the codec you would like to work and you will be up and running quick.

To add on what Bob said. 720×486 is D1 resolution. Everything out of our card will be that res (even in a DV Project). The extra lines are added to make a signal that will typically be expected by SDI or analog equipment.
DV, and MPEG2, are typically saved at DV resolution which is 720×480. However, if you are editing in a DV editing mode with BMD cards the timeline is 720×480 but the output will be 720×486 (2 and 4 lines are added to prevent scaling of the image). This is refered to as a DV-D1 conversion and is fairly common in these types of apps (it typically happens behinds the scenes).

It can do…however firewire has a max throughput of 400Mb/second (and that is best case scenario) which translates to 50MB/second. So even if it is raided, the max throughput will be governed quite heavily by the firewire bus.
Now, as i mentioned 50MB/second is maximum possible. Firewire is an odd beast as it throttles to be only as fast as the slowest device connected to it. So if you have a firewire camera (or any other non hard drive device) it is probably being throttled down to about 100Mb/second (slowest connection speed that firewire supports) which is only 12.5MB/second which will NOT be enough to do either ProRes, DVCProHD(100) or uncompressed reliably.
So, if nothing else is connected to the firewire bus, it might be possible, but will it be reliable? Hard to say. If anything else is connected it may not even work.
