Good find! It looks like there’s an “in app” purchase for more interfaces. It would be cool to see a version for Resolve (that you could modify).

It would be nice if they had something like the vWave app integrated. For instance, a swipe down would bring up the trackball interface. But first, we’d need Tangent to allow vWave to drive Resolve. It seems like it should be possible with Resolve’s ability to do remote grading. Again, my hopes are that someone from Tangent is trolling this forum…

Personally, I use the magic trackpad with the Tangent Wave. I find it easier manipulate windows with it then the knobs and it doesn’t take up too much space. But, I wouldn’t complain if we had mouse emulation mode on the right trackball 🙂

I haven’t seen a way to do that yet. But, if anyone at Tangent happens to be looking at this group, they might want to consider updating the “Panel Control Mapper” for use with Resolve. It currently works with Color 1.5:

Remapping one key will not effect the others. It will only effect the key that you’ve modified.

It does! Try hitting the alt key while you’re in ControllerMate. The button will light up in the palette/devices window. You can use an “and” operator to use 2 buttons at the same time. Then pipe in into the keystroke. That was a bit more involved for the tutorial, but I can make more advanced ones if there’s interest.

When I first installed my Quadro 4000, I needed to add these lines to the debug tab:

LsManager.3.NumGPUs = 1
LsManager.3.GPUMapping = 0
LsManager.3.GPUMappingEnable = 1

Before you login, go into the Davinci preferences (command + , ) and paste the code into the debug tab.

One thing to try on the Avid side is deleting database files (.pmr and .mdb files) and the “Creating” directory. They can be found in your Avid MediaFiles directory.

I believe Resolve 8 will also include an option to create an ALE file for Avid. Not sure how that will work. I guess we’ll find out in June!
