Jeff here is the info about the computer I bought.
I changed the graphic card to an Nvidia to see if it helped stablize SVP 11. would have bought a better one but the box isn’t big enough for the bigger cards. (didn’t really make a difference)

A little help from the techies please.

When I originally set up my windows 7 install I changed the config from non-raid to raid so I could set up a Raid 0 to stripe two internal 500 gb drives together for editing. When I did that I lost the ability to load the os on the ssd. I had to load onto the c drive.

Is there a way to have the os on the ssd and have a raid 0 config for editing?

I thought I could, but noticed that when I attempted to load the os on the ssd it was not listed in windows 7 setup, (also the sdd does not show up in explorer)
however it is listed on the screen when the system boots up.

I’ve been told by some that I would have to change the config in the bios to non-raid to see and use the ssd again but this would take away my raid 0 config.(it was originally set up non raid with the os on the ssd when I bought the computer )

If that is the case what would be the best hard drive set up.
do most of you use a raid or non raid config?
I am editing avchd with vegas 11 (a somewhat buggy vegas 11)

    would appreciate your thoughts guys.
I have an i7 Quad core running win 7 with 24 gigs of ram.

Glad to hear that. I am running a AMD Radeon 6750. Latest driver updates.

i7 with 16gb ram. This is supposed to be a vegas compliant video card but I think people have more stability with nvidia cards, is that so?

    thanks

I can’t seem to wrap my armns around this…like many this last upgrade is really bad on my machine. I have an AMD RADEON HD 6670.
seems to me the guys using Nvidea cards have more stability…no?

here’s somethinbg weird…I’ve been trying to upgrade my catalyst software to 12.4…but when I download and install, reboot and go back to contol center it is still showing 12.3. tried this many times ?????

    any ideas about that?

    running win 7 premium 64bit 8gigs of ram i7-2600

I’ve only done this a few times myself. I used the blue ray DVDA template and it imported and burned fine. I’m not in front of my machine right now so I don’t remember which one I used but there are a group there to choose from.

Steve, are you not seeing any of these issues? I’m curious if this is random or if there are a great number of us that have this problem.
