    i just wanna share.
hell came with svp11. hungs and crashes one by one. if only i have more than couple minutes on my timeline and more than a hundred media files in my bin, here comes the msvcr90.dll crash. i ve tried everything, switching dlls, updating drivers, updating windows reinstalling… everything. i ve managed to spot the problem. it is somehow connected with media thumbnails on the timeline. when i change the visibility of thumbnails to none, i have green light to work. as soon as i change it to any other option vegas crashes during reading thumbnails in media files.
my medias are mxfs – mpeg2 – fullhd 50Mbps 422. in this particular 7 minutes project i have only 200 media in bins and about 700 splits on the timeline. any solution? any idea?

today i said to myself. ENOUGH! i installed back svp 10. i have all my plugins, i have cinescore back on the toolbar, i have thumbnails on my timeline and WOW!!! the project is loaded much much faster then in 11. maybe because i got it loaded from edl. the only comfort i had from svp11 was filtering fxs. i can live without it. I have lived without filtering for all that time, so i can live without it again. so far works like charm, all stable, all go. today i say to SVP11 “go f**k yourself”.

Well, you learn by experience Paul..lol
Vegas 11, after all the updates, still has shortcomings.
Vegas 10 is still my trusted workhorse.

    shit, steve!!!
it’s been few days of working on this 6′ very dynamic project. MAN!!! i have 800 fullhd 50Mbps 422 mxfs in my bin, about 1000 splits on 12 tracks of my timeline. geeeez!!! i don’t care about proxies, i don’t care about anything. i go to preview and i have everything smooth and easy and my laptop is not so powerful at all – i3+1gb graph+8 memory.
i had svp10 before. i switched to 11. i installed new upgrades and it’s been becoming worse. why the hell haven’t i thought of going back to 10 earlier????
    i wan’t touch 11 anymore. i’ll wait for 12.
i am happy again and i only wanted to share. PEOPLE! IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH 11, JUST KICK IT OUT TO THE MOON AND GO FOR 10!

There was a moment that i seriously started thinking about premiere or avid… i am gonna miss fx filtering. with all those plugins it helped in my workflow… to hell with that… amen to your words!

by the way. you got an idea why some external icons disappear from my toolbar? i hate that and i especially hate things that i am unable to resolve. i’ve checked – all of those that are missing are pngs with transparency – i ve studied the thread that you wanted to mention. i don’t know what else it may be??? any idea?
    thanx steve, all the best
