My goodness, in the last ten minutes I’ve experienced more bugs and crashes than I have in the last month. It’s like Sony is trying to tell me something.

One thing I meant to ask… can a previous build of a Pro version open a file edited by a later build of the same version?
I’d like to know before I try this new update, as it supposedly has a fix I need, but not at the expense of trashing something else.

No, I haven’t downloaded the update yet. I’ll wait until I’ve completed my projects for the week before even trying it. Vegas just started giving me bugs and crashes (including changing the files for video events-AGAIN-when I reopened a project) right before Sony prompted me to download the update.

[Phil Seymour] “can a previous build of a Pro version open a file edited by a later build of the same version?”

Yes it can so no worries.
You can always go back to an older build if you feel so inclined.

    Exactly my sentiments, Steve.

And thanks Mike. I do keep all the back builds and versions on file – just in case. Never had to worry about them until the last two versions, as Steve lamented.
