While it saddened me to read this, it did confirm my intuitions and why I haven’t managed to bother installing an update since Build 511. Here’s hoping feedback on this one restores some sort of confidence, or that things actually improve soon.

In the meantime I think I may just go back to relying on the last build of Vegas 10 until it seems like things have been sorted out. Thanks to everyone for the feedback, at least I know I’m not alone in this.

No fix for me. Will still not allow a GPU accelerated render.

    Just checked two my bugs:

    – Crash during stabilization some subclips still not fixed (very annoying for me) 🙁
    – Bug when encoding to Mainconcept AVC + with GPU acceleration enabled lasts forever if Sony ProType Titler generated media was used is fixed in this build (not mentioned in release notes).

Ok, since I downloaded and installed successfully this latest 682 update, from now on Sony Vegas 11 Pro doesn’t open! The problem is that even trying to install any previous update, the program doesn’t launch!
I made my PC crazy of many uninstalls and re-installs, restarts, trying to launch the program even in Safe Mode (unsuccessfully!), etc.
So, is there any real procedure to make Sony Vegas 11 (682 or any previous) work?
    I’m with Win7 32-bit.
Waiting for help and suggestions as soon as possible, please!

    1. Update Vegas 11 Pro to Build 683 (64 bit)
    2. Open veg project (TWO clips – total 4 mins!)
    3. Insert media generator/solid colour (white)event under video track
    4. Select ‘eyedropper’ to select a colour
    5. Close media generator
    6. CRASH!!!!!
    7. Repeat many times.
    8. SAME RESULT

    Aaaaaaargh!!

Don’t worry, guys. Just report these bugs to Sony and they’ll get right on it in 6 to 8 months.

Plamen,What sometimes seem to work in your situation, is to
uninstall Vegas completely and delete all its corresponding
folders left back… Restart, then install the latest build,
hopefully that should fix your problem.
