Of course right after I post I find the solution. I did not see the Metedata drop down menu in the render as dialogue menu which is where one can find the “save project markers in media file” box.

I must be going blind. Good thing I’m not entrusted with the launch codes.

Yes my experience exactly. Is it just the 64 bit users or are 32 bit users having the same issue?

Glad I could help Carl. Happy rendering!

I found this solution to work for me and hope it helps others.
after selecting a template in the MainConcept encoder click on “customize template” and in the menu that pops up look toward the bottom and you will see “Encode mode”. Click the down arrow next to it and select “render using CPU only”. click OK and render away.
it took me quite a while to find a solution this problem but now all is well in render land. hope this helps.

  • Hi Nelson,
I’m new to the group here but I’ll give you my 2 cents.
You may know all this already but I’ll post what I know.

You should be editing to a seperate HD then your system drive(sure you are)

.avi files are very large and can be much bigger than your original files.

you do not need to render to .avi.. only then to render again to mpeg 2
just render your project to mpeg 2 from your timeline
you can also render it to mp4 for youtube

I have a 1TB drive with many projects on it but drive space is cheap today so 2TB might be the way to go if it’s in your budget.

    hope this helps
